More from Tomoka

The gals enjoyed the Pioneer dudes they were dressed in period clothing and had a lot of items from that time period to share and learn about.  I heard Marla say they saw a few deer and even found another Geo Cache.  Then they spent an evening at the outpost and listened to the Dani play the mandolin and sing some awesome songs.  This is a super place to kayak, but the gals left theirs at home this trip.  this is close to home and they may come back here again.  A few more pictures and peace out my friends..
Cool hats!

The end of the trail....water break time...Peace out...

October trip to Tomoka

http://www.floridastateparks.org/tomoka/

This was a special trip for the gals as they were celebrating their 11th Anniversary together and the day before that was Judi's 35th Sober AA anniversary.  I am so proud of them both and even happier they found me.  The trip to Tomoka was still a little warm and buggy but not as bad as Paynes Prairie was the previous month....I don't like lovebugs...ugh.  Tomoka campsites are very small only a few wide ones and they are really close together.  But Judi and Marla had a great time and met some really great people the last day.

Here I am!!!

Small and tight but doable, the gals walked trails and even saw some deer.....

This was the best part walking the trails and heading up to the top of the fire tower.  The gals didn't see bison but plan a trip back here so they can walk a few more trails.   Judi didn't get a shot of the swing that was on the deck of the fire tower but it was an awesome place to sit and just peace out.........  A return trip is already planned....hope to see you there...peace...hugs....and many happy camping days.....

It's Marla's Birthday....so Paynes Prairie here we come!!

My gals loved this and have placed this park at the top of their list.  Lots to do and even more to see here we loved the drive to get here and no problem parking me, plenty of room.  Shhhhh, don't tell Judi but she is slowly getting better at backing me in.  The gals walked some trails, went Geo Caching and enjoyed the wildlife.  They took a trip to Micanopy, Judi just loves saying that word, lol, I had to stay behind.

My Second First Trip....Rodham Campground

On the road again...but first a pit stop at Judi's work.  How cool so many people stopped by to check me out.  People just kept going in and saying so many awesome things about me.  I feel like I am a million bucks!  Judi keeps coming out to see me and showing me off...I think she is ready to head out to the campground.  Ohhhhhhh here we go...On the road again...this time to Rodham Campground, the gals say this is there favorite place to go.

Set up was a breeze I think Judi is finally getting the hang of parking me.  Now let the fun and relaxation begin.  We met our friends there and the gals went down to visit them and then it began again. More people came and the gals made some new friends.  I am really feeling important, people are making a big deal and love to come and see me.  I am a really groovy camper, but I have never felt this special.
We met Cindy and Lou and Charlie and his wife and even their friends and Charlie love to Geo cache...how cool is that!!

Lots of bike rides and the dogs really enjoy being inside me...Jama sleeps under my table and Maja sleeps in the bed.  There were even games of Hillybilly Golf and of course Hand and Foot!  Campfires almost all day long and even some Banana Boats...everyone was drooling over them!

Now we are home safe and sound and chilling till the next trip...where will the road take us...till then Peace Out Everyone.....

My First Camping Trip...Away From Home

Finally I get to go on my first camping trip out of the yard!  This is so groovy we are hooked up and headed out., whoa it is really windy and "Hurricane Sandy" is out there somewhere..go away!   Way cool we finally met Gary and Toaster and many new friends and they were so kind in helping out Marla and Judi as they were not that comfortable in backing me into our campsite.  With there help I am now settled in, but there was a mishap...poor Gary got a major boo boo.  He now has a rainbow colored finger.... Ouch....so sorry Gary!!  My gals headed to the beach and just about got blown away by Sandy!!  They were a little gritty when they returned, but that's okay.   The gals built a fire and settled in to have some perogies and hot dogs.  You know this is a great campsite very secluded and private we are definitely coming back some day.
What oh no...here comes the ranger and he is telling everyone to pack up and head out...bummer dude..not nice at all.   Oh no it is going to be a scary drive heading back over the 312 bridge.  Well for 7 hours we had fun..but so many plans had to be canceled.   As we head out into the night we went home and just unpacked and diehards that my gals are they just set up camp in the yard and camped out in me all weekend!  Never alone for long I love my people, so groovy.  Well peace out till next trip.  Enjoy the sunset......

Super Paint Day...

Oh the gals were busy today the painting has begun!!  My dining area is finished a colorful pastel yellow with pastel green benches and denim cushions.  I feel alive and happy again!!  Oldie tunes were playing today and lots of laughter sure gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.  Still more painting to do, curtains to be sewn and eventually the floor to redo.  Wow they must really love me to work so hard.  So as the gals gear up for Super Bowl Sunday they would like to share the pictures, so you can see all of the improvements, the before and after, that they have made so far.  Peace Out......
